“If an owner or trainer wants to challenge that notion, her schedule has been mapped out for all to see. Come and get her. ”

Except that, according to the plan, she’ll be running in restricted company. And we all know that if even we all know that she’s the best horse in training, it wouldn’t be validated by HOY honors unless she stepped outside of her division to prove it. Which is not to say that her fans (obviously myself included) think any less of her regardless of what her connections do.

Not to get technical GBG, but the term “restricted company” often applies
when discussing “state-bred” competition or races for stallions standing in a certain state, such as Calder hosting stakes for those standing in Georgia.

The Sunshine Millions competitition between Florida and California would be “restricted” to those statebreds. Zenyatta on the other hand will not test
“open company” and stay within her own filly/mare division and on “home surfaces”. 😉

that’s a sweet logo indeed. Aqueduct and Belmont are true parts of NYC and it is nice that that has come out in the logo.

    That logo Holly…

It’s sooo good they could title it: “A tree grows in Brooklyn”. 😀

Zenyatta is equine perfection. Rachel Alexander is a really nice horse with the benefit of East Coast bias suggesting she’s the second coming of Ruffian. I’ve yet to see Zenyatta need top gear. Rachel would have lost the Preakness if Mind That Bird had another furlong before the finish line.

    Zennie rocks.

    Sarah,

I love your photography! Is the photo of Zenyatta’s hooves available on your website?

      Hi Marissa,

Thank you for your kind words. I emailed you, but I’ll answer here as well. I shoot these images as editorial photos so they are normally not for sale as prints.

      Best Regards,
      Sarah
