Alibar and his Peeps

March 28, 2010

Alibar and his Peeps

In celebration of what would have been Alibar’s 31st birthday, I proudly share with you his springtime passion, Peeps. It started as a joke and ended as an obsession. At first, Alibar was unsure of the marshmallowy confection, but with time, his palate became sophisticated and he was devouring all colors, all sizes, all shapes. Barn buddies brought Peeps for Alibar and he’d point his lip hopefully until he was fed, and then he’d nom contentedly on the chewy, gooey treat. Easter isn’t the same without him.

"Fee Fi Fo Fum... I smell Peeps!"

"Peeps....nom, nom, nom"

And the two Peeps rode off into the sunset

But it was a smashing success

I was not sure if he'd love it or hate it...

Peep-tastic!

aaaaah! That last picture is so cute! My mother’s old polo pony liked beer, apparently the players shared all their food with the horses so they liked burgers and all kids of beverages including beer and champagne. We’d pour beer in a shallow dish, and the horse would close his eyes and slowly lap it up. Very funny to watch.
