Underneath a Jersey Sky… Not For Long
May 13, 2009
The bad news: Rock and Racehorses: The Blog will be taking another hiatus for a few days.
The good news: I’ll be enjoying a long weekend of fresh air, trail riding, and good friends, and conducting a mini photo clinic in the mountains of Georgia.

When I return, we’ll have a Preakness winner to discuss and maybe I’ll finish wading through my Rolex and Derby photos :^)

Is that grey a mule? His ears are huge! Have a great time in Georgia.
He certainly is! That’s John the Mule and he’s one of the finest equids I’ve ever ridden. He’s an Energizer Bunny, he’s surefooted, and he’s gaited :^)
Thanks DP!
Packing your bags again? grrr.
Instantly two rock tunes came to mind…
Time to play Name that Tune !!
a) Everyone goes south, every now and then.
You’ve done it, why can’t some one else?
b) There are stars
In the Southern sky
Southward as you go
There is moonlight
And moss in the trees
Who’s got the right answers? 😉
I cannot think of any songs about mules, though…
I LOVE John The Mule!!!!
He’s gonna need a fan club pretty soon
Hi Sarah,
I am a HUGE fan of your work and am an aspiring, beginning photographer. Do you offer mini photo clinics often? I live in Atlanta and cannot find any photography instruction locally that focuses on animals. FYI, you shoot 2 of my favorite subjects . . rock and racehorses. I can’t wait to see more of your Derby photos. Your photos of Zenyatta at Churchill Downs were unbelievable.
Dear Michele,
Thank you very much for contacting me and for your kind words. I do not normally do photo clinics- this one was a blend of my friends getting together and our favorite hobby. I’ll keep the blog readers posted about my whereabouts and if there is time in the future, I might be able to arrange to meet up somewhere and do a little hands-on work.
Best Wishes,
Sarah
Have a great time, Sarah!
Well we got some rock afficionados here.
