Selena Ride 38: The Great Outdoors

A bad system of weather was forecasted for several days so I took advantage of the last dry night and rode Selena outside under the lights. It was one of those laid-back evenings so I spent a good amount of time riding her at a walk and chatting with my barn buddies. I think that it’s sometimes a very good thing to have a casual ride (as long as the horse is well-trained enough to handle it). We did a little trotting work as well, focusing on keeping contact from a forward trot to a working trot. Selena was fantastic. There were no horses outside but she was perfectly happy to work alone. Good mare :^)
