I so wish we lived close too! I have a mare off the track that was supose to go to slaughter 7 years ago cuz everyone thought she was phsyco. She does parades; carries flags; rides through town; an chases cows amongst other things. I would love to help train them an find them forever homes! We especially love Starduster and Sweet lill lolly. 😦 Wish them all the best!

at – here is a possible solution. I didn’t call but a friend of mine recommended them . . . . Eagle Hill Farm in Fredericksburg on line or call 540-399-1982. They take in all horses rehab

Sweet Lil begs to be an event horse with that amazing uphill build and high neck set! Are these mares broke at all? What a shame, but very humane to euthanize rather then send to slaughter. I wish I could adopt one………but will share. Good luck girls.

I wish I could get one of them, I have the acres and would love to adopt one… I just cannot afford the trip to get one………I have two pastures and tons of time to spoil, I would not “event” just pleasure riding/trail riding, I live in the mountains and it is some beautiful riding up here! Good luck in placing these beautiful horses.

My gray mare( now passed at 35yrs old) had several melanomas at age 13 on her tail, one the size of a quarter. They were removed in Ark by the local large animal vet with cyrosurgery(spelling?). She lived to be 35 with no problems!

Dont know who provided the “good home” for GoRose but she is being picked up Mon from broker auction in PA. NOW, she WILL have a good home. Anyone with any info on this mare, please share. It will help in her care and rehab.
